Real estate · India

A real estate channel partner in a major Indian metro

A large sales record, read as a new firm. Named in 2 of 27 answers to open buyer questions. Asked whether it was reliable, one engine called it relatively new and said reliability required independent verification, because it read the company registration rather than the team's record.

Three things actually differ by industry. The rest does not.

Most "AI search for X" pages are the same page with a noun swapped. These are built from a structured dataset that records what genuinely changes between industries, because everything else in the discipline is constant. Knowing which is which saves you paying twice for the constant part.

1. The vocabulary the customer uses

A patient asks "where should I go for a root canal near me". A landlord asks what a property manager should charge. A procurement lead asks for "certified suppliers of [component] in [region]". These are not keyword variants of one another; they trigger different answers, and measuring the wrong questions measures the wrong market.

2. The sources the engines reach for

This changes most, and it decides where effort goes. Local services lean on Google Business Profile, review platforms and city forums. Regulated industries lean on registers and professional bodies. Manufacturers lean on trade directories and certifications. Software leans on review sites, communities and documentation. Same discipline, completely different places to earn a mention.

3. How much an inaccuracy costs

A wrong opening time loses a customer for a day. A wrong statement about a clinic's credentials, a law firm's practice areas, an insurer's licence or a developer's delivery record is a different category of problem. In regulated industries, knowing what the engines say about you is the main reason to measure at all.

What does not change, whatever you sell

  • Engines must be able to read you. If the crawlers that fetch pages for AI answers are blocked, nothing else matters. It is free to check and a common silent cause of absence.
  • One screenshot is an anecdote. Answers vary between runs in every industry.
  • Being retrieved beats being rewritten. Presence in the sources engines already read matters more than polishing your own copy. We grade that claim on our evidence register.

For agencies

If you run SEO, web or social for clients in any of these industries, your clients will ask why ChatGPT recommends their competitors. Our partner programme lets you offer AI visibility under your own brand.
