What AI engines said about real businesses
Each study is a real free snapshot with the company's identity removed. They show how differently the engines treat a business when asked about it by name, and when a customer asks an open question.
A corporate travel management company in India
Known by name, rarely recommended. Engines described the company accurately whenever they were asked about it by name, but named it in 3 of 22 answers to open buyer questions. A self-booking platform was named in 9.
14% share of voice · read the study →Real estate · IndiaA real estate channel partner in a major Indian metro
A large sales record, read as a new firm. Named in 2 of 27 answers to open buyer questions. Asked whether it was reliable, one engine called it relatively new and said reliability required independent verification, because it read the company registration rather than the team's record.
7% share of voice · read the study →Agencies · IndiaA small web design and SEO agency
Not recommended once, and not placed anywhere. Named in 0 of 27 answers to open buyer questions. Asked about the agency directly, engines disagreed on which country it operates from and when it was founded.
0% share of voice · read the study →Consulting · GlobalA boutique AI strategy consultancy
Invisible next to the global firms. Named in 0 of 35 answers to open buyer questions, while two global consultancies were named in 11 and 9. Engines knew the firm when asked about it by name.
0% share of voice · read the study →Software · GlobalAn enterprise website governance platform
The category leader, and still contested. Named in 19 of 28 answers to open buyer questions, well ahead of any rival. Two engines named it in only 4 of 7 answers, and specialist competitors led the problem questions.
68% share of voice · read the study →The pattern across every study
In almost every snapshot the engines recognise the business when asked about it by name. The gap opens on the open questions customers ask before they have a name in mind, which is where the shortlist is made. Recognition and recommendation are different problems, and most businesses only check the first.
How to read these studies
Each is a point-in-time snapshot taken before any work was done, so none of them claims a result. Company names, locations and identifying figures are replaced in brackets. Competitor names are kept because they are what the engines said. To see your own, request a free demand snapshot, or browse the playbooks by industry.
